Houston, TX – One of our Aces, Erin Cude had the opportunity to help Yasmina Platt, AOPA’s Regional Manager for the Central Southwest Region and Linda Street-Ely, ForeFlight Directory Manager, at the Houston Pinch Hitter on August 16th, 2014. The Pilot Companion Program is for non-pilot flying companions to learn about the fundamentals of flying, talking with ATC controllers, and basic emergency procedures.
Erin informed the attendees about sectionals, airspace and GPS operations. “I am such a big fan of the pinch hitter program. It is always rewarding to educate and change someone’s view towards flying,” she said.
The turnout was impressive and attendees were very pleased — requests for other cities have already been made.
